Mentoring
Database

The
Wakefield Health Working Towards Wellbeing Committee aims
to increase the primary health care skills and knowledge of
workers within Wakefield Region, enabling them to work more
effectively within primary health care frameworks.
As
part of this focus, a Mentoring Database has been established
within Wakefield Region.
This
database provides the names of mentors who are able to provide
workers with support and expertise in developing their professional
skills and knowledge. It also includes a list of websites
available to assist in key aspects of working within a primary
health care framework.
Any
worker within Wakefield Region, working within a human service
organisation can access the database. This supports the notion
that health is not just the responsibility of the health sector
alone and provides a resource that enables different organisations
and groups to work together more effectively to improve the
health and wellbeing of their community.
